Nike Air Max Plus “M. Frank Rudy”

The 24-year-old Nike TN Air Max Plus is one of the latest of the Air Max siblings to pay homage to Marion Franklin Rudy, the NASA aerospace engineer and “Father of the Nike Air” with the Nike TN Air Max Plus M. Frank Rudy.

This TN Air Max Plus has blueprint insoles with the right shoe bearing M. Frank Rudy’s signature. The mesh upper of this shoe is white, the better to highlight the embroidered black profile Swooshes that mimic hand-drawn doodles on both sides of the shoe. The iconic TPU cages are transparent, showing off the white mesh fabric underneath. Pops of bright yellow appear in the form of tongue tab and heel tab branding as well as eye stay panel TPU accents. The midsole is plain white with exposed Air units at the mid-food and the heel. The rubber outsole matches the accents in yellow. A nod to M. Frank Rudy’s home stat, a blue and yellow California rubber licence plate hangtag caps off the style of these kicks.
